Smartpoint 11.4

The following updates apply to the Travelport Smartpoint 11.4 release:

Known Issue

A known issue in Smartpoint 11.4 may prevent agents who are using the Smartpoint GDS Translator from switching work areas. When attempted, the cursor blinks fast and agents must exit the system.

Fix

This issue was corrected in Smartpoint 11.4 Hotfix (Smartpoint 11.4.0.26).

Workaround

If you cannot update to Smartpoint 11.4 Hotfix immediately, you can prevent this issue in Smartpoint 11.4 by removing the secondary cryptic language in your GDS Language Settings.

Change Secondary Cryptic Language to Not In Use.

Installation Updates

There are no changes to the process for the Smartpoint 11.4 installation.

Tip! While there are no updates to the Smartpoint Desktop installation, please ensure that all Microsoft Windows device drivers are updated before installing Smartpoint Desktop.
Outdated device drivers can cause issues with some features and functionality, including the NDC plugin. For instructions and more information, see these options in the Microsoft Support site:

Note: Your agency may limit permissions to driver updates, or your agency’s technical support team may manage these updates. Be sure to confirm with your technical support team before updating.

Assisted Ticketing

Inhibit NDC segments in Assisted Ticketing.

NDC segments are not supported in Assisted Ticketing. Previously, unsupported NDC segments were not indicated on Assisted Ticketing tabs.

This update includes header messages on Assisted Ticket tabs to indicate the presence of unsupported NDC or Direct Payment Carrier segments.
