Assisted Ticketing

Assisted Ticketing (formerly known as Smartpoint Assisted Ticketing) provides a user interface to manage a variety of ticket-related tasks in Travelport+ (1G). Assisted Ticketing (SAT) is part of the baseline installation Smartpoint.

Tip! Assisted Ticketing can be used with Automated Exchanges to process ticket exchanges.

Requirements

Assisted Ticketing is available for Smartpoint 9.0.2 and later. However, some features are available only in later versions of Smartpoint.

Eligible tickets must be:

  • E-tickets with a stored fare (Filed Fare).

  • Booked on Smartpoint Travelport+ (1G). Smartpoint Apollo (1V) is not supported.

  • Booked through a Network (GDS) carrier. NDC and Direct Payment Carrier segments are not supported.

  • Ticketed on a plating carrier that supports the requested ticketing activity. For example, some carriers do not support voiding or revalidating tickets.

Adding Residency Information with SARA

Spain Only. The SARA plugin is used to validate the Spanish residency of travelers who live in certain Spanish jurisdictions.

In Smartpoint 10.1 and later, the SARA plugin can communicate with Assisted Ticketing, so agents can add residency information from SARA. Agents can then issue tickets or perform other tasks in Assisted Ticketing with the residency information.
