Exchanging Tickets

Travelport Smartpoint provides several options for exchanging tickets.

Important! Some Direct Payment Carriers do not support changes or cancellations. These Direct Payment Carriers support modifications only if they are made directly with the carrier.

Exchange Option

Description

Automated Exchanges
(Travelport Marketplace)

Formerly known as Rapid Reprice and Galileo Desktop Companion (GDS) using Rapid Reprice.
For participating Travelport+ (1G) travel agencies, Automated Exchanges automatically calculates the new price for voluntary changes to an electronic ticket. Automated Exchanges is available for both BSP and ARC reporting.

This version of Automated Exchanges is available as separate plug in Travelport Marketplace.

ARNE (Travelport Automated Reissues and Exchanges)

For participating Apollo travel agencies in the United States and Canada, ARNE automatically calculates the new price for voluntary changes to an electronic ticket.

Manual Ticket Exchanges

Manual ticket exchange using Travelport+ (1G) or Apollo (1V) formats for changeable tickets.

Assisted Ticketing

Formerly known as Smartpoint Assisted Ticketing (SAT). A graphical interface that performs certain exchange-related activities for Travelport+ (1G) agencies, including:

  • Revalidating tickets.
  • Voiding tickets.
  • Fully or partially refunding tickets.
  • Voluntary changes.
  • Involuntary changes.
