Using the GlobalWare Icon Toolbar

Training demonstration related to this topic (click to start):

The GlobalWare icon toolbar displays icons that access the most frequently used areas of GlobalWare.

Security settings in your user profile determine which system-default (standard) GlobalWare icons appear in the icon toolbar. The figure above shows all available icons. If your user profile does not allow access to specific areas of GlobalWare functionality, the icons for those areas will not appear in the toolbar. To remove standard icons, re-add icons, or reset the icon toolbar to show all standard icons, see Adding, Removing, and Resetting Standard GlobalWare Icons. GlobalWare also provides custom icons to access other GlobalWare functions and reports. For more information, see Adding and Removing Custom Icons.

To move the GlobalWare icon toolbar to a different location on the GlobalWare dashboard, see Changing the Location of the GlobalWare Icon Toolbar.

Adding, removing, and resetting standard GlobalWare icons

This procedure applies to the system-default (standard) icons the icon toolbar displays. For custom icons, see Adding and Removing Custom Icons.

To remove standard icons from the GlobalWare icon toolbar, re-add icons, and reset the toolbar to display all standard icons:

  1. Click the arrow to the far right of the icons; click Add or Remove Buttons. A list of all available icon items appears.

A check mark appears to the left of each icon that is currently displayed on the icon toolbar.

Note: By default, all icons are displayed in the icon toolbar. Icons are controlled by security settings in your user profile. If your user profile does not allow access to specific areas of GlobalWare functionality, the icons for those areas will not appear in the toolbar.

  2. To remove an icon from the toolbar, click the applicable icon item in the list.

The icon item's check mark disappears, and the icon is removed from the toolbar.

  3. To re-add the icon, click the icon item in the list.

The icon item's check mark reappears, and the icon is re-added to the toolbar.

  4. To reset the toolbar to display all available icons, click Reset Toolbar in the list.

Changing the location of the GlobalWare icon toolbar
