What is Travelport Marketplace?

Travelport Marketplace is an e-commerce platform where Travelport and developer partners market solutions to travel agencies worldwide. Travelport Marketplace gives immediate access to revenue generating, easy-to-use, time saving products, as well as direct contact to the travel technology talent that our open platform attracts.

• Offers travel agencies the latest travel solutions created by Travelport and by Travelport Developer Network members.

• Gives agencies ability to browse, order and experiment solutions for Travelport Smartpoint as well as Mobile and Standalone solutions (back-office systems, commission tracking, booking engines, itinerary solutions).

• Offers solutions for Travelport Apollo, Travelport Galileo, and Travelport Worldspan.

• Is available online globally. On the website, agencies can find solutions that are supported globally as well as solutions that are relevant to specific countries or regions, worldwide.

• Acts as the platform where Travelport can distribute different point of sale applications including Travelport Smartpoint.

• Provides Agencies with access management, product assignment, and reporting tools

Supported Browsers

Marketplace supports the most recent two stable releases of Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Other browsers are not supported, and downloads may not work.

Travelport Marketplace Users

Travelport Marketplace has different types of users with varying capabilities.

• General User (default user type) (formerly Associate)

  A General User can:

  • browse Marketplace e-commerce store

  • recommend solutions

  • download products previously downloaded by one of the Agency Admins for the same agency

  A General User cannot order, purchase, or download any products without the permission of their Agency Admin.

• Agency Administrator

  The Agency Admin role has the following capabilities in Travelport Marketplace:

  • add and manage users and their roles

  • request a demo

  • order and download products/plugins

  • install a solution/plugin and assign to agents

  • initiate disabling of plug-in purchased through Marketplace

• Agency Super Administrator

  The Agency Super Admin role in Travelport Marketplace allows for effective management of multi-subsidiary accounts by Agency Administrators.

  In addition to Agency Admin capabilities, a Agency Super Admin can:

  • emulate child agency account

  • add Agency Groups (collection of members from the agency assigned to specific plugins)

  • set up Travelport Smartpoint automatic installation

  • remove automatic installation assignment

  Note: Only members of the Travelport Marketplace team can assign the Agency Super Admin role. Open a MyTravelport support ticket to request Agency Super Admin access.

• Application Certifier

  The Application Certifier role manages application certifications. Apart from the Agency Super Admin, Application Certifiers are the only user type with access to Manage Application Certifications under the Administration menu.

• Developer

  The Developer role is solution developers that create and update their respective product pages on the Travelport Marketplace site.

  Developer information includes:

  • Adding New Solution

  • Create Product Page

  • Marketplace Orders and  Downloads

  • Travelport Support Checklist
