Void bookings
After you book and ticket reservations for a European Rail itinerary, you can void the ticket, if permitted by the rail carrier and fare rules. A void is considered an immediate or same-day cancellation, and is available only within a specific window after the booking. For example, the fare rules may permit voids only within 24 hours of the booking.
To void a reservation:
-
Retrieve the Booking File (PNR) that contains the ticketed rail segment.
-
Open the European Rail tool in Smartpoint Cloud or Smartpoint Desktop.
Note that the remaining hours and minutes in the void time window are displayed. If the Void button is unavailable (shaded), either the void window has expired or voids are not permitted for this fare or carrier. Cancellation may be available if permitted by the fare rules.
-
Select Void to display the refund confirmation screen. Note that all legs in the journey must be voided.
-
If applicable. Select the Service Fee and Payment Fee amounts.
