Smartpoint Cloud

Smartpoint Cloud 4.18 is the current general release.

  • Flight amenity icons display in the flight details panel below each flight's details. Hover over an icon for details.

  • The Help and Settings icons have moved from the bottom left sidebar to the upper right corner of the window.

  • When NDC carriers allow bags to be selected prior to booking, the Extras panel displays after the last flight is chosen for you to add bags.

  • When searching for hotels, the map displays the lowest rate for a property, or, if multiple properties are in the same general location, the map displays the number of properties available. Hover over a single hotel pin for more information. Click on a pin with multiple properties to zoom in on that location and display the individual hotel pins.

Smartpoint Cloud is our newly designed agent point of sale retailing platform that focuses on putting people at the center of the experience. Travel advisers will love how simple it is to use, whether they’re a novice or an experienced agent personalizing the workspace to match their own preferences and working from any PC. Travel admins will love how easily it integrates with their own systems and with other Travelport products, without needing local deployment. Business owners will love how effectively it works to combine multiple sources of air and hospitality content into one place, maximizing agent efficiencies.

Travelport will continue this iterative release process until the product is commercially available. The early releases may not contain all features critical for your business; therefore, these early releases may not be suitable for all. However, the product will continue to evolve as features are added over time.

The key elements of Smartpoint Cloud are:

  • Delivered through the cloud. Smartpoint Cloud is accessed via a PC or Mac browser, needs no installation or maintenance, and will be updated without any downloading. Note: Mobile or Tablet devices are not supported at this time.

  • Multi-source content delivered into one convenient Point of Sale.

  • Focus around the user experience. Through repeated research prototyping and agent interviews, it reflects a set of design principles that will help existing users feel comfortable, reduce additional training, and enable both cryptic and graphical experiences to appeal to both the experienced and novice agent.

  • More capabilities and features will be unlocked as the product matures.

What is available? 

The current release of Smartpoint Cloud is similar to the terminal features in Smartpoint Desktop.

  • Terminal responses may have interactive displays.

  • Multiple host connections are supported.

  • Standard terminal shortcuts, such as Ctrl+arrows to move backward and forward through entries.

  • The Flight Search graphical form is used to search for, book, and ticket both Travelport and NDC flights.

  • The Hotel Search graphic form is used to search for and book hotels.

  • Custom shortcuts widgets provide quick access to imported Travelport+ (Galileo) programmable keys (Pkeys).

  • Notepad widget provides a scratch pad for keeping notes.

Important: Recommended system requirements for optimal performance:

  • Browser: Latest browser versions of Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox

  • Operating System: Minimum Windows 10

  • Internet speed: Broadband connection

  • Smartpoint Cloud
