Updates for Agents

The Smart Buttons scripting tool has been integrated into Smartpoint. The tool is installed as a separate application that is bundled with the Smartpoint 11.0 installation; a separate Smart Buttons installation is not required.
More Information
Previously, earlier versions of Smart Buttons were available in some regions as a separate plugin. However, the new integrated Smart Buttons is available for all agencies, in all regions as an integrated feature within Smartpoint 11.0.

If a Smart Buttons plugin is not already installed on your computer, there are no changes to the Smartpoint installation.

If an earlier version of the Smart Buttons plugin is installed on your computer:

The original Smart Buttons plugin does not need to be uninstalled for version 4.0 and later.

Plugin versions earlier than 4.0 must be uninstalled before installing Smartpoint 11.0. See “Uninstalling Smartpoint” on page 25 for more instructions.

Existing Smart Buttons scripts are not affected by the Smartpoint 11.0 installation and will remain available.

Integrated Smart Buttons includes a few minor changes to features and functionality from the plugin version of Smart Buttons.

Because Smart Buttons is installed as separate application, note that the process for uninstalling Smartpoint now includes additional steps for uninstalling Smart Buttons. See the Smartpoint Quick Installation Guide for instructions.
From this release, the version number for Smart Buttons is modified to match the version number of Smartpoint. As a result, the new integrated Smart Buttons plugin is listed as version 11.0.

If you are upgrading from Smartpoint 9.1 or earlier, your agency may need to complete pre-installation activities, which are indicated in the Smartpoint Installation Guides.
Updates for Technical Audiences

To resolve security vulnerabilities, Newtonsoft.json was upgraded to version 13.0.1.255. The upgrade is seamless. However, applications or SDK plugins that rely on an older version may be impacted, and should be updated and/or tested for compatibility with Smartpoint 11.0.
