Itinerary Remarks
Managing Unassociated Remarks with the Remarks Screen
Unassociated remarks are free-form comments for an itinerary that are not associated to a specific segment. When you print or display, unassociated remarks appear at the bottom of the itinerary.
This topic describes managing associated remarks using the Associated Remarks tab in the PNR/Booking File Remarks screen. You can also manage associated remarks using terminal formats.
To add unassociated remarks:
- From an active PNR/Booking File with booked segments, open the PNR/Booking File Remarks Screen.
InstructionsThere are several ways to display the PNR/Booking File Remarks screen:
- Classic Windows. From the PNR Action Bar, click the Edit icon and select Create/Edit Booking File Remarks.
- Classic Windows. From the PNR menu, select Create/Edit Booking File Remarks.
- Flex Windows. From the PNR Viewer window, click the Edit icon and select Create/Edit Booking File Remarks.
- Click the Other Remarks tab. The Associated Remarks tab is the same for both Apollo (1V) PNRs and Travelport+ (1G) Booking Files.
- In the Add New section, click the Note arrow to select the Unassociated remark.
- Optional. The various types of Other Remarks display at the bottom of the PNR/Booking File. Click the Insert at Bottom arrow to choose a location for this remark within the list of Other Remarks.
More InformationSelect a location option within the Other Remarks list:
- Insert at Top adds the new remark at the beginning of the Other Remarks list.
- Insert at Bottom adds the new remark at the end of the Other Remarks list.
- Insert after selected adds the new remark after an existing remark that is selected in the Other Remarks list. For example:
- Enter the new remark in the text box
- Click Add to add the remark to the list. Free-form text added to a remark uses the same requirements for Travelport+ and Apollo:
- Minimum characters per line: 2
- Maximum characters per line: 70
- Maximum characters per PNR/Booking File: 5000 itinerary remarks (associated and unassociated remarks combined)
- After you add all remarks, click SAVE to store the remarks and close the Remarks screen.
To delete unassociated remarks:
- In the View list, select a remark. Or, to select more than one remark, press the CTRL or SHIFT key while you select the remarks.
- Click Remove.
- Click Save to update the Remarks file.
To manage Historical Notes, Invoice Remarks, or Unassociated Remarks:
You can add historical notes and remarks back into a PNR/Booking File or delete the remark entirely.
- Click the History button in the lower right corner of the Other Remarks tab. The Notes History dialog box displays.
- Optional. In the View list, select the remark type.
- Click Add to PNR to add the remark back to the PNR/Booking File or click Remove to completely delete the remark from PNR/Booking File history.
