What's New?

New features in this release include:

• New rule – Exclude Fares by Brand Name.

• Enhanced Rule Override form.

• When creating or updating a rule, the Rule Discontinue Date and Travel End Date are now optional.

• MH and TK have been added as NDC airlines.

New administrative features:

• Users no longer must be assigned to the ‘Travelport’ company to make use of the Content Optimizer Administrator entitlement.

• Selected Operators/Distributor roles can be assigned specific companies to manage and can also be given the entitlement of Content Optimizer Administrator.

• Improved error message when attempting to add a PCC to a company that is already in use by a different company.

• Improvements to Manage Companies processing.

Three new filters introduced to narrow down and target specific rules, these being:

• Content application

• Rule recurrence

• Travel recurrence

The ability to Export rules to enhance accessibility, usability and management of rules.

Other small enhancements include:

• Removal of the tab for Hotel rules

• Rule application “Availability” cannot be selected for a Minimum Connection Time rule if the rule is to be applied to NDC content.

• The display of PCC Groups are now collapsed to show more PCC Groups on a page.

• New NDC airlines have been added to the NDC rules.

• Logon error for users with a MyTravelport profile status that is not Active.

The Cabin Class Actions rule is being added in this release and applies only to search.

Other enhancements:

• Display the reason for a Batch Upload failure

• Exclude Fare or Fare Family rule – addition of fare direction validation

• Filter Persistence

• Rule Application added to Minimum Connection Time rule

The new rules in this release allow customers permit multi-airport connections, establish alternate validating airlines, and specify rules that are always applied in a Search regardless of a conflicting modifier entered by an agent:

• Permit multi-airport connections – Includes NDC settings

• Rule Override – Includes NDC settings

• Validating airline override

Other changes in this release

• Promote Preferred Fares Simulator

• The Exclude Equipment Type rule can now be applicable to Availability.

• Because NDC searches do not accommodate the following items, NDC applicability will be disabled for a selection of Exclude Fare/Fare Family rule settings.

The following Air rules are being added in this release and apply only to search:

• Exclude Airport/City Locations (includes NDC)

• Exclude equipment type (includes NDC)

• Maximum journey time (includes NDC)

• Maximum number of results

Also, indicators regarding content source – Traditional / NDC / Both are being added to these rules:

• Exclude fare or fare family

• Maximum connection time

Additionally, the Bias Undesirable Connections rule is being retired in favor of the Exclude Undesirable Connection Points rule. To preserve user functionality, the ability to restrict double connections will be added to the Exclude Undesirable Connection Points rule.

The following Air rules are added in this release:

• NDC Content Preference

• NDC Response Time

In this release, the Traditional, NDC, or Both setting is made available to the following types of rules:

• Exclude marketing/codeshare airlines

• Maximum overnight connection times

• Exclude marketing airline for time window

• Minimum connection time

The NDC option functionality will be extended to other types of rules in future releases.

The following Air rules are added in this release:

• Exclude/only include branded fares

• Exclude marketing airline for time window

• Fare type preferences

In this release, the Traditional, NDC, or Both setting is made available to the following types of rules:

• Direct flights only

• Exclude airlines

• Exclude flight/flight ranges

• Exclude undesirable connection points

• Maximum number of connections

The NDC option functionality will be extended to other types of rules in future releases.

The following Air rules are being added in this release:

• Bias/exclude multi-airport connections

• Commercially important airline

• Display only online solutions

The following enhancements are also included in this release:

• Batch delete for air rules

• Default display shows only active rules

• Filter for ‘Updated by’ changed to dropdown

The following Air rules are being added in this release:

• Maximum connection time(s)

The Exclude Fare/Fare Family air rule is added in this release.

This rule allows fares content to be controlled via seven different configurations:

• Booking code(s)

• Fare basis code(s) and booking code(s) combined

• Cabin

• Tariff and/or rule

• Fares — Public/Private

• Industry Fare Type(s)

Also being added in this release are new methods for filtering the display of an agency’s rules within the application:

• GDS

• Geography (“From” and “To” locations)
