Air Rule Types
Content Optimizer allows high-volume customers to create rules that affect the shopping query results that display to their agents. The following table lists the types of rules that can be created.
Notes:
-
Each rule also includes an effective- and a discontinue-date, which specifies the record effectiveness. The discontinue-date cannot be greater than 12/31/2059. These dates are not related to travel dates.
-
All rules are listed below. The table below indicates whether a rule affects Availability (A), Shop/Search (SS), Fare Display (FD), Pricing (P), or is included with NDC.
-
CCL, or Content Curation Layer, ensures no duplicate fares return when fares are the same between traditional and NDC carriers via Smartpoint Cloud / JSON API v11, when the 'both' radio button is selected. There is no special provisioning required for CCL when shopping. Not every rule applies the CCL filter when 'both' is selected. Refer to the following table to see which rules have CCL applied when 'both' is selected.
-
Each Content Optimizer rule is followed by the SCC rule name to remove any confusion for customers transitioning to Content Optimizer from Search Control Console.
-
Depending on which provider processing system the rule accesses to implement, the time it takes to implement the rule may vary. The Time to Process column indicates the approximate time, in minutes, in which you should see your rule take effect.
