Airline List

A number of Content Optimizer Air rules can be applied to a specific airline or to a list of airlines.

Note: Airline Lists are comprised of only marketing airlines.

The following rule types can be configured to apply to up to ten airlines (* denotes where Airline is mandatory):

  • Availability demote *
  • Availability promote *
  • Bias/exclude multi-airport connections
  • Cabin class actions
  • Exclude airlines *
  • Exclude connections between airlines
  • Exclude Fare or Fare Family *
  • Exclude fares by brand name *

  • Exclude marketing airline for time window *

  • Exclude marketing / codeshare airlines *
  • Exclude/only include branded fares *

  • Maximum connection time
  • Maximum number of connections
  • Minimum connection time *

  • NDC response time *

The following rules default to All Airlines.

  • Display only online solutions
  • Exclude airport/city locations
  • Exclude undesirable connection points
  • Maximum journey time *
  • Maximum overnight connection times

  • Permit multi-airport connections

The following rules support only single airline specification:

  • Exclude flight / flight range *
  • Validating airline override * (Marketing airlines in rule can be up to 10)

The following rules support up to three airlines:

  • Commercially important airline

The following rules support multiple airlines as long as they are NDC:

  • NDC content preference

The following rules support up to five airlines for non-preferred and preferred:

  • Promote preferred fares

The following rules do not support airline specification:

  • Direct flights only
  • Fare type preferences

  • Maximum number of results
  • Rule override

To add a list of airlines to a rule, in the Airline text box:

  • Enter either the airline's code or the airline's name.
  • Auto-complete is used to provide a drop-down list of the airlines that match the input text.
  • Once the Enter key is pressed, the airline name and code are added to the list in the text box and is shown like a button. Included in the button is an 'X' control that can be used to delete the code from the list.
  • The text box allows for vertical scrolling.
