Description

General Remarks

Remarks are added to a PNR to document various parts of the booking or ticketing process. They also can be used as a way to satisfy back-office/mid-office rules for policy adherence.

Name Remarks

Name Remarks store information related to a specified traveler in BookingTraveler and BookingTravelerInfo.

  • A name remark can be added to a passenger name in order to better identify the passenger type.
Associated Remarks

An Associated Remark is an optional, multi-item field that holds a free form string of text.

  • Associated Remarks can be associated to any travel segment and most reservations on the Universal Record (UR), and more than one can be associated to the same segment or reservation.
Unassociated Remarks

An Unassociated Remark is an optional multi-item field that holds a free form string of text.

Unassociated remarks are added at the PNR level and are not associated with a segment.

Accounting Remarks

Accounting Remarks are optional remarks that are added to the PNR and typically used by an agency's back office system in some way.

The remarks can include ticket numbers, customer or account numbers, fares offered to the customer but refused, and canned remarks that document fare rules.
