Selling Flights from Availability
Branded Fares
Air Availability results may be returned with branded fares, which provide specific service offerings are associated to each brand.
To book a branded fare:

Make an Air Availability search to display the available response.
If an airline supports branded fares, the Branded Fares icon is displayed below the line of flight information.
Note: The icon indicates that the airline supports branded fares, but does not indicate that branded fares apply to a specific flight or market.More InformationIf branded fares are not supported for the selected flight, an error message is return is returned when you click the Branded Fares icon: BRAND FARE FAMILY INFORMATION IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS OPTION.
You can then sell unbranded fares from the availability results.

Click the Branded Fares indicator for the selected flight. For multi-segment flights, the indicator is display only in the first segment of the flight.
Tip! Sponsored Flights only. If you click the class of service for a flight with branded fares, the Branded Fares screen is automatically displayed. For Sponsored Flights, you can skip the step of selecting <<B>>.
The Brands and Ancillaries window is displayed. Available brands and corresponding classes of service for this flight segment are displayed in the left pane of the window. Brand descriptions and available ancillaries (optional services)are also displayed.

Optional. Select a fare brand to detailed information for that brand.

Optional. In Ancillaries, click on an ancillary icon to view details about that ancillary service (optional service). See Ancillary Service Shopping for more information about selecting ancillaries for both branded and unbranded fares.

Optional. Select the MATRIX tab to view a comparison of the available Fare Families in a table format.

Description The feature or ancillary service is not available for the brand.
The feature or ancillary service is available included in the brand.
The feature or ancillary service is available not included in the brand, but is available for an additional charge. The currency code displayed is based on the point of sale.
- Hover over each icon a the top of the matrix to view a description of that item.
Note that the same icon may display more than once for related information. For example, Rebooking and Refunds use the same icon.
- Click the DETAILS tab to return to Branding Information.

After you choose a brand, click a class of service for that brand to book the flight. Note that the selected class of service and number of passengers is displayed in the lower left corner.
Note: The airline may not provide classes of service associated to a specific brand. In the Classes of Service section, all classes of service associated to the flight may be associated with unbranded fares, a single branded fare, or multiple branded fares. Verify at pricing/fare quote. -
If there are connecting flights, click the tab for any additional segments.

After you have selected the class of service for all segments, click CLOSE to exit the Brands and Ancillaries screen.

Repeat Step 2 to Step 8 for any additional flights in the itinerary.

After all flights in the itinerary are booked, price the itinerary. The base entry is FQ (Travelport+) or $B (Apollo). You can also price by a specific brand level.
Entries for Fare Price by BrandWhere BF4 is Branded Fare Tier Level 4.

The pricing information is displayed. This example shows a Booking File in Travelport+ (1G), but the same data is available in an Apollo PNR.
In this example, the Comfort brand, which is the third tier level for this Delta flight (BF3) is indicated in the fare quote. Pricing and brand modifiers are included in the fare.

Optional. Smartpoint 8.2 and later. After booking, you can open a view-only version of the Brands and Ancillaries screen from the stored fare in the PNR/Booking File.
Viewing Brand DetailsTo view brand details:
- From a retrieved PNR/Booking File, display the stored fare.
- Travelport+ (1G) Fare Quote: *FF
- Apollo (1V) Linear Fare: *LF
- Click VIEW BRAND DETAILS from the booked PNR/Booking File to display a view-only version of the Brands and Ancillaries screen.

Optional. If brand tiers are available for the selected fare family, you have the option to upsell to another tier.
Upselling Brands with ApolloTo upsell the current brand tier:
- Smartpoint 8.2 and earlier. If you have already stored the fare using T:B, enter XT to cancel the stored fare (ATFQ). Stored fares are not automatically canceled when a branded fare is rebooked.
Note:Smartpoint 9.0 and later. Step 1 is not necessary because Smartpoint automatically cancels the original stored fare.
- Click VIEW to redisplay the Brands and Ancillaries screen to see brand tiers for this fare family. Or, you can enter the terminal equivalent: BFA.
- Select a new brand tier. Note that the difference in price from the original fare is noted in the lower left corner.
- Repeat for all applicable segments.
- Click FARE QUOTE to display the Summary screen.
- Click REBOOK to book the updated fare.
