Custom Itinerary As of 15 September 2018, the enhancements added to the Custom Itinerary feature in Travelport Smartpoint 8.1 have been removed. The current Custom Itinerary feature has reverted to the previous Travelport Smartpoint 8.0 functionality. Travelport will continue to add enhancements to Custom Itinerary in future releases.

Custom Itinerary
Creating Custom Itineraries
You can display custom itineraries for an active PNR using your current itinerary settings. You can also make additional changes to create customized itineraries for all travelers or specific travelers in the PNR.
To create a custom itinerary:
- Display an active PNR in Smartpoint.
- To open a Custom Itinerary, you can either:
- Enter the #CI Quick Key.
- Click the PNR record locator in the PNR Viewer and select Custom Itinerary from the pop-up box.
- From the Documentation menu, select Custom Itin.
The Custom Itinerary pane displays in the Smart Panel.
- Optional. Click the Settings icon to create or change your custom itinerary settings with information such as your agency's logo, contact information, and comments.
Any custom itinerary changes that you make become your default settings for future itineraries. However, you can change the customization for all travelers in a specific itinerary, or create separate customizations for individual travelers in that itinerary.
- In Display, select the display option for the itinerary. If you select:
- Itinerary and Document History, ticket and baggage information is displayed with the itinerary. See Set Up Options for Custom Itineraries for an example of selecting documents.
- Itinerary Only, only the itinerary is displayed. Ticket and baggage information are not included.
- Required for emails. In Agent E-mail, type your agency email address, which is displayed to the recipient. You can also add other email addresses separated by a semi-colon (;).
- Optional for emails. Select Send a copy back to myself if you want to send a blind copy of the email to your email address.
- Optional for emails. In Email Message, type an email message to the recipient.
- In Itinerary Set Up, select a set up for the travelers. If you select:
- Grouped Itinerary, an single itinerary for all selected travelers is created.
- Separate Itineraries, a separate itinerary for each traveler is created.
- In Passengers, select either All Passengers or Select Passengers. If you select:
- All Passengers, the custom itinerary is applied to all travelers in the itinerary. This option is available only if you selected Grouped Itinerary for the itinerary set up.
- Select Passengers, a list of all travelers is displayed. You can select one or more travelers in the itinerary.
- Complete the passenger selection and any email addresses based on your selections in Steps 8 and 9. See Set Up Options for Custom Itineraries for examples of itineraries based on the selected set up and passenger combinations:
- Grouped Itinerary for All Passengers creates a single itinerary with information for all travelers. This itinerary is sent to all listed email recipients.
- Grouped Itinerary for Selected Passengers creates a single itinerary is created only selected travelers. This itinerary is sent to all listed email recipients.
- Separate Itineraries for Selected Passengers creates a separate itinerary for each selected traveler. Each itinerary can be sent only to email addresses specified for that itinerary.
- Optional for emails. In Subject, change the title of the itinerary email.
- Click PREVIEW AND EDIT to display the customized itinerary.
More Information About Itinerary SegmentsThe following exceptions apply to the segments in a Custom Itinerary display:
- Air, Car, Hotel, Cruise, Train, and Miscellaneous segments that are present in the PNR are displayed. Other types of travel (TVL) segments are not currently supported for custom itinerary.
- If multiple special equipment types are requested for a car segment, only the first special equipment type is displayed in the custom itinerary.
- TVL Credit (/CRD) is currently not returned, but Travelport Smartpoint calculates if the due amount is less than the item cost, and displays this information in the TVL segment.
- The following data is not currently displayed in the custom itinerary:
- TVL Name (/NM).
- Meal service for train segments.
- The status of segments for Direct Payment Carriers.
- If an ETR is no longer supported by the carrier or the link is failed, the passenger name and ticket amount do not display in the custom itinerary.
- Optional. Arrange the itinerary to move or delete certain itinerary items.
- Optional. Click Open in New Window at the top of the Custom Itinerary pane to view the entire itinerary in a new browser window. You can copy and paste content from this window directly into an email or other document.
- When your customizations are complete, you can either:
- Click SEND to email the customized itinerary.
- Click the Print icon to print a hard copy of the customized itinerary. Depending on your computer's setup, you may be able to fax through your printer software.
Tip! If you make changes to the PNR, you can click the Refresh icon to update the Custom Itinerary. However, any changes to the PNR are reflected in the Custom Itinerary only after a 5-minute wait time to refresh the PNR.
