File Finishing Remarks for PNR Fields

The host accepts multiple values for some PNR fields, and accepts a single value for other PNR fields. Therefore, if a file finishing remark is applied to a PNR field that only accepts one value and if that field that already has a value, the file finishing remark will overwrite the existing value.

The table below lists the fields (selected in the PNR field on the General tab) that can be affected by file finishing remarks. The GDS column indicates to which GDS the field applies. The Occurs column identifies whether the PNR field can occur once or multiple times. If the field accepts multiple values, file finishing will always create a new entry.

If the field is already populated, file finishing changes the data to the data sent in the file finishing remark.

The administrator is expected to format the string content per host requirements. The string is mapped as-is to the host. The following are differences between the hosts:

  • For TTL, the format for Apollo should be TL1856/20AUG, where 1856 is the time and 20AUG is the date. In Galileo, the format is TLDEN/UA1856/20AUG.

  • For TAW, the format for Apollo is TAW/15JUL-0400P or TAW/15JUL-1100A, whereas for Galileo, the format is TAW/15JUL/1600.

  • For TAU, the difference is in the delimiter. The Apollo format is TAU/09SEP/CONTACT AIRLINE, and the format for Galileo is TAU/09SEP*CONTACT AIRLINE (i.e., an asterisk instead of a slash).
