Manual reprice

There are two possible time limits on a held booking.

  • All held bookings have a ticket time limit. The ticket time limit is the time at which the airline requires payment to issue tickets; otherwise, inventory is released and the itinerary is canceled.

  • Some airlines offer a price guarantee period. This time period is the duration that the airline guarantees the price; otherwise, the fare will expire, a reprice is needed, and inventory is protected past the ticket time limit period.

Reprice a booking

  1. Retrieve the booking.

  2. For held bookings, the ticket time limit date/time information displays in the Booking information section's Ticketing arrangement and in the Reservation details Tickets section.

  3. Select the flight summary in the Reservations section. Fare details display in the right panel.

  4. If the airline allows reprice, in the Fare Details card, select Reprice to reprice the fare.

    If the airline supports price guarantee, the price guarantee time limit displays beside the Reprice button.

  5. The itinerary is repriced and you are then given the option to Accept new fare or Keep original fare.

    • When you select Keep original fare, the original fare remains. The ticket time limit does not change. If payment is not received before the ticket time limit, inventory is returned and the itinerary is canceled. If the agent needs a longer ticket time limit, they must cancel the booking and create a new one.

    • For airlines that do not support price guarantee, if the repriced fare is different than the original fare, select Accept new fare to change the booking to the new fare. The ticket time limit does not change. If payment is not received before the ticket time limit, inventory is returned and the itinerary is canceled.

    • For airlines that support price guarantee, select Accept new fare to extend the price guarantee period. This option is given even if the repriced fare is the same as the original fare amount. The ticket time limit does not change. If payment is not received before the ticket time limit, inventory is returned and the itinerary is canceled.
