Setting preferences

In the European Rail tool, you can view or change settings for:

  • Language

  • Country of residence

  • Currency

    Note: The currency setting is view only. The active currency is based on your account configuration in Trainline, and cannot be changed.

 

To view or change settings:

  1. Select the Langage/Currency Code arrow in the upper right corner to display the settimgs screen.

  2. Optional. In the Language section, select from the available languages.

    • This selection changes the screen language in the European Rail tool.

      Tip! Text directly from a host system or carrier may not be translated.

    • The language selection may also change the ticket language, if supported by the carrier.

    • Note that the Calling From location changes automatically based on the selected language. Therefore, you may need to change the country in Step 3.

  3. Optional. In the Calling From section, select Click here to change to select the default country where the passengers are located. Selecting the relevant country for each booking ensures correct commercial terms and licenses are used.

    A Calling From field in the search screen allows you to change the country for individual searches.

  4. Select Save preferences to update the settings.
