Accessing Ticket Exchange Plus

Travelport Smartpoint uses the Ticket Exchange Plus script to reissue tickets. With Ticket Exchange Plus, you can request automatic exchange processing for tickets using the Travelport Rapid Reprice feature. If automatic exchanges are not available for the selected tickets, Ticket Exchange Plus also provides screens that allow you to manually exchange the tickets.

To access the Ticket Exchange Plus script:
  1. Open a ticketed PNR with changed air segments.

If a PNR with ticketed air segments is not open, a warning is returned when you try to open the Ticket Exchange Plus script.

  1. Use one of the following options to open the Ticket Exchange Plus script:
Option Details

From the Fares & Pricing menu, select Ticket Exchange Plus.

Enter the #EXCH Quick Key on the Smart Screen.

 

Click the Quick Key icon to select #EXCH from the Quick Keys list.

Click the Ticket Exchange Plus link in the Top 10 Go! Scripts in the Smart Panel.

Enter a cryptic Rapid Reprice command in the Smartpoint screen: 4P-AR or 4PLFB-AR.

Note: Ticket Exchange Plus is triggered by any type of 4P-AR or 4PLFB-AR entry. However, to open the Ticket Exchange Plus from a cryptic entry, you must add all of the modifiers to the entry. For example, to open Ticket Exchange Plus and reprice a current booked fare for the PTC requested excluding Unbundled Economy Fares, you must enter: 4P-AR@@PTC#FXD.

Therefore, it is recommended to open Ticket Exchange Plus using one of the other methods.

  1. After Ticket Exchange Plus opens, Smartpoint verifies if the PNR qualifies for an automatic exchange using Rapid Reprice or requires a manual exchange.
  • Automatic Exchanges with Rapid Reprice
    If the airline participates in Rapid Reprice and the PNR qualifies for automatic exchange, the Reissue message is displayed.

  • Click Yes to continue with the Rapid Reprice automatic exchange and accept any transaction charges.
  • Click No to continue repricing with the manual exchange process.

The Ticket Exchange Plus - Rapid Reprice screen is displayed. This screen also offers the option to change to the manual exchange process, if you prefer not to use Rapid Reprice.

  • Manual Exchanges
    If the airline does not participate in Rapid Reprice or the PNR does qualify for automated exchanges, the Ticket Exchange Plus - Manual Process screen displays to begin the manual exchange process.
