"Stay Safe" Hotel Amenity
In Smartpoint 9.1 and later, the Stay Safe amenity code allows booking agents to search for properties that have agreed to safety guidelines and best practices in accordance with WHO (World Health Organization), CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) in the United States, and AHLA (American Hotel Lodging Association).
The Stay Safe feature allows customers to search for hotels that are participating in the “Stay Safe” initiative. This amenity ensures that the hotel property is taking the proper measures to accommodate for the COVID-19 environment for a safe and comfortable stay for their customers.
The Stay Safe amenity can be added by either:
-
Selecting the Stay Safe option in the Amenities section of the Hotel Availability Search screen.
-
Adding the /F-SEC modifier to a Travelport+ (1G) or Apollo (1V) format for hotel searches. For example: HOA20NOV-21NOVLAX/D-10M/RM-1/F-SECHOA20AUG-21AUGLAX/D-10M/RM-1/F-SEC
Note: The /F-SEC modifier was previously used for the Secretarial Services amenity.
You can confirm Stay Safe participation in the availability response by checking either:
-
The Amenities section of the INFORMATION pane the Detail Rates List in Hotel Retail.
Tip! As of Smartpoint 10.0, COVID-related marketing information from participating suppliers displays next to the supplier's information at the top of the Rate Details list.
-
Hotel Description in the Standard Hotel workflow.
Flight Comment for Passenger Health Information
Effective March 1, 2022
IATA has defined an optional Passenger Health Information free text field. This field provides airlines with the capability to convey health information as a part of their regularly filed flight schedules data. Airlines can convey health information that may impact passenger boarding, deplaning, and/or arrival at a destination.
If Passenger Health Information is filed by the airline in their flight schedule, a new flight comment is displayed in the inflight services information of the PNR/Booking File.
The basic Travelport+ (1G) and Apollo (1V) format to view inflight services is *SVC.
