Useful information not associated to a specific release of Smartpoint Desktop.

• Depending on your country and PCC, you may see messages for a 30-day countdown to create a MyTravelport account. There is currently a known issue in which the countdown may go faster than 30 days. We are in the process of correcting this issue. However, we strongly recommend that you create your MyTravelport account as soon as possible to be prepared for this requirement.

• Change in Ryanair fee structure

  As of November 1, 2025, Ryanair replaced Booking Fees with a Content Access Fee. Contact your Travelport representative if your agency needs to complete the updated booking terms required for this change in fee structure.

• Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  MFA is now used for to add a layer of security to Travelport+ access in Smartpoint 12.0, as well as for several Travelport support web sites and Smartpoint Desktop features in Smartpoint Apollo and earlier versions of Smartpoint Travelport+. When you log in to these sites or plugins, a six-digit code is sent to the email address in your MyTravelport profile.

• Updated Phone Format for Ryanair

  Ryanair recently modified their requirements for phone number formats. Phone numbers now require a hyphen (-) after the country code.

  Accepted formats are:

  • 353-212121212 (recommended)

  • 00353-12345678

  • +353-12345678

  Note that an error is not returned by Smartpoint, Travelport+ (1G), or Apollo (1V) if an incorrect format is used. However, additional processing must be performed by Ryanair when obsolete formats are used.

• Flight Search Plugin (Travelport+ Only, Smartpoint 10.0 and later)

  The Flight Search plugin combines the options to fare shop in a single screen for NDC fares, traditional (GDS) fares, or a combination of NDC and traditional fares. Agents can then view and compare airline offers and fares side-by-side.
