Removal of TRM

As part of our multi-source content strategy, Travelport made the decision to retire Rooms and More on August 3rd, 2019

The retirement of Rooms and More is driven by our aim to provide access to aggregated hotel content from multiple sources delivered through a single point of sale to enhance your user experience.

All TRM content is removed from the Universal Policy Help System unless absolutely necessary for clarification and functionality.

Universal Policy 18.01

Universal Policy 18.01 was released in 11 Aug 2018. It added the Eurostar rail vendor (9F) to the dropdown list of vendors for policy configuration on all airline criteria pages.

Universal Policy 17.4

Universal Policy 17.4 was released 15 August 2017. It provided the following enhancements:

  • More secure and complex password criteria when creating an administrator and when changing a password.
  • Functionality to create account groups, and a new administrator role of account group administrator. See the Policy Administrators Overview.

Universal Policy 17.3

Universal Policy 17.3 was released 23 May 2017. It provided the following enhancements:

  • Updates to the hotel property bulk upload template to support upload of all property criteria.
  • Enhanced wildcard functionality for searching accounts on the Policy Groups page.
  • Ordering policy list grids alphabetically by policy name.
  • Addition of the current version number to the Universal Policy Admin Portal footer.

Universal Policy 17.2

Universal Policy Web Services 17.2 was released 21 Mar 2017. It added functionality for uploading excluded and display-only properties as part of the hotel property bulk upload template, which previously allowed only preferred property bulk uploads.

Universal Policy 17.1

Universal Policy 17.1 did not include any updates to the Admin Portal interface, only to Web Services.

Universal Policy 16.3

Universal Policy 16.3 was released Dec. 13, 2016. It provides the following enhancements:

For air policies:

  • The Clip Amounts page was renamed to Fare Tolerance Options; clip amounts are now called tolerance options.
  • On the Policy Options and Exclusions page, the term "one-way faring" is now called "one-way component shop." It is no longer mandatory to select at least one of the In/Out of Policy Options on this page.
  • Options for applying policy to connecting flights on Preferred, Excluded, and Display-Only airlines have been updated.

For car policies:

  • On the Policy Options and Exclusions page, text was added to clarify that settings based on car size are for vendors specified on the Vendor Criteria page. Two new buttons on this page allow policy to be applied based on negotiated rates.
  • When configuring Preferred, Excluded, and Display-Only vendors, a new option for Door Count appears when a Car Type of "Any" or "Car" is selected.

For hotel policies:

  • A new option on the Hotel Rate Filters page allows policy configuration for non-refundable room rates.
  • When configuring preferred, excluded, and display-only settings for both Property Criteria and Chain Criteria, the dropdown for selecting the hotel chain now reads "Hotel Chain." Each option on the dropdown shows both the hotel chain name and the corresponding two-letter chain code.
  • When configuring preferred, excluded, and display-only settings for Property Criteria, the Admin Portal now validates that the property number matches the selected hotel chain, and that the location entered for a property number matches the location found for the property number. The application displays a message if either or both checks fail.
  • The details displayed in the Admin Portal header were updated.
  • New criteria were added to the search options and results on the Manage Policy Administrators page.

Universal Policy 16.2

Universal Policy 16.2 was released Oct. 4, 2016. It provided the following enhancements:

  • A new Fare Caps page under Air Policies, introducing fare cap and fare maximum functionality for air policies.
  • Header details about the permissions and agency or account for the currently logged in administrator.
  • On the Hotel Rate Filters page, selecting the Rate Category filter type brings up a dropdown list with the values supported by Travelport Universal API.

Universal Policy 16.1.2.1

Universal Policy 16.1.2.1 was released Aug. 23, 2016. This interim release introduced the agency group administrator role type. It also fixed an issue with air policy excluded airline configurations in which Universal Policy did not exclude airlines when there were more than two connecting segments with multiple carriers, and an issue in which the hotel rate cap from Hotel Details were not applied correctly.
