Configuring IE Mode in Microsoft Edge

On June 15, 2022, Microsoft plans to end support the Internet Explorer (IE) 11 browser for certain operating systems. However, agents can continue to use Smartpoint Worldspan with an IE Mode in the Microsoft Edge browser.

Because Travelport will no longer support Smartpoint on Internet Explorer after it is retired by Microsoft, agents using Smartpoint Worldspan are required to move to the IE Mode in Microsoft Edge.

Please Note: Your agency may have a specific time line or implementation method for moving to Microsoft Edge. If applicable, agents should contact their agency's Smartpoint Administrator or technical support before setting up IE Mode in Microsoft Edge.

Configuring IE Mode for Smartpoint:

There are three options for configuring Smartpoint web sites for IE Mode:

An automated tool that automatically configures IE Mode for Smartpoint web sites.
Instructions to manually configure IE Mode, if necessary.
Instructions to update the site list if you have previously configured IE Mode for other web sites.
