Ie Mode in microsoft edge
Updating the Site List
On June 15, 2022, Microsoft ended support for the Internet Explorer (IE) 11 browser for certain operating systems. However, agents can continue to use Smartpoint Worldspan with an IE Mode in the Microsoft Edge browser.
Because Travelport will no longer support Smartpoint on Internet Explorer after it is retired by Microsoft, agents using Smartpoint Worldspan are required to move to the IE Mode in Microsoft Edge.
If you have already configured IE Mode on Edge, you can update your existing IE Mode site list to add Smartpoint’s URLs.
Tip! If you have NOT previously configured Microsoft Edge for IE Mode, you can use an automated tool or manual configuration.
To update the IE Mode site list:
-
Open the XML file that was added when IE Mode was previously configured on your system. The file name used for the Smartpoint site lists is sites.xml. However, your existing XML site file will have a different name and location.
Tip! You can edit the file by right-clicking the XML file, then selecting Open with Wordpad or Notepad.
-
Copy the following lines to the file:
<site url="https://gopublic.wspan.com/">
<compact-mode>Default</compact-mode>
<open-in>IE11</open-in>
</site>
<site url="https://goprivate.wspan.com/">
<compact-mode>Default</compact-mode>
<open-in>IE11</open-in>
</site>
<site url="https://go.worldspan.com/">
<compact-mode>Default</compact-mode>
<open-in>IE11</open-in>
</site>
-
Save the file.
