Passenger Names

In Customer Information, you can add up to nine travelers to a PNR/Booking File.

Note: This topic details adding passenger names for adults passengers. Child and infant passengers require additional age-related information.
To add adult passenger names:
Note: A red asterisk*next to an item indicates that this information is required to complete the PNR/Booking File.
  1. Select the Name tab of the Customer Information screen to display the Customer Information screen.

Note:For booked itineraries, you can change or delete passenger names for bookings with a flight segment, but the method depends on the type of change required and the carrier's specific policies and procedures. See Changing and Deleting Passenger Names for more information.

  2. In the Passengers section click the Add icon to create a new passenger information screen.

This tab enables you to create or edit the content of a PNR/Booking File. If a PNR/Booking File is active in the PNR Viewer window, relevant fields are populated with the PNR/Booking File content.

Tip! If there is a child and/or infant passenger, ensure that the first name field is an adult. If an Adult is not in the first name field, some Direct Payment/Travelport API Connect airlines will fail the booking.

  3. If all passengers in the PNR/Booking File have the same last name, you can select Use this last name for all passengers.

  4. Optional. Click the Title drop-down arrow to select a title or honorific for the passenger. Titles are required for some airlines and optional for other airlines. When selecting a title for the passenger, be aware of the titles (name prefixes) that the airline accepts.

  5. In First Name, enter the passenger's given name.

Tip! In Smartpoint 9.0 and later, the Middle Name name field has been removed to improve processing. However, you can add the middle name as a second name. For example, if two passengers have the same first and last name, but different middle names, you can include the middle name in the first name field to differentiate. For example: DONALD CARL and DONALD ANTON.

  6. Some screens such as the Security tab and APIS Manager include middle name fields as they may be required for the passenger's legal name. Middle names can also be confirmed or added on those screens.

  7. In Last Name, enter the passenger's surname.

  8. Optional. Enter Name Remarks.

  9. Click Apply after the information for the passenger is completed.

  10. Repeat the steps for each passenger in the itinerary.

  11. When all PNR/Booking File information is completed, click SAVE.
