Profile History

Profile history tracks all changes to data within a profile as well as who made the changes. Profile history does not track changes made to the hierarchy, field groups, tags, or templates that could be associated to a profile. Profile history includes only changes made to profile data (e.g., name, status, preferences, contracts, contacts, accounting references, commissions) and field data.

History is supported for all profiles. History captures the following information:

  • The unique ID of the profile to which the history is related (i.e., the ID of the traveler or account)

  • Event type that triggered the history record (create/modify/delete)

  • Agent ID who made the change

  • Date/Time of the change (in GMT)

  • Old and new values of each field modified, if applicable

  • Data instance ID (Key value)

  • Descriptor of the data (e.g., payment address rather than alternate contact address)

  • Custom fields and field groups, if applicable

  • If the data that is stored in history was encrypted, the data is stored in history as encrypted.

A profile's history can be displayed from the Open Profile or Select Profile dialog. Profile history cannot be modified in any way.

When retrieving a profile history, you have the option of either retrieving the entire profile or filtering the history by agent, date or date range, or field modified.

To filter a profile history,

  1. Click the view profile history from the Open or Select Profile dialog.

  2. Select the "Retrieve a subset" option.


    • To retrieve history details for a field or field group, enter the field or field group name in the text box.

    • To retrieve history details that occurred within a time period, enter the date range.

    • To retrieve history profile by an agent, click the Change user selection and select the agent.

    • Note: Multiple filters can be used at once. For example, you can filter the history to only display history that was recorded between 2010-01-01 and 2011-01-01 and modified by agent Thomas.

  3. Click Continue.

The profile history displays. Click the Edit filter button above the history list to modify the filter, or click the remove filter button to view the entire profile.
