Enhanced Exchanges: Early Adopter Release

Enhanced Exchanges (formerly Automated Exchanges for Smartpoint Cloud) is currently available only to agencies that are activated for Early Adopter testing. If your agency would like more information about being part of our pre-release testing, please contact your Travelport representative.

Exchange tickets

Enhanced Exchange supports ticket exchanges for ARC and BSP markets.

Tip! Before you begin an exchange you can view cancellation and change fees in a graphical display.

From an open PNR/booking file with electronic tickets in Travelport+, Enhanced Exchange:

  1. Determines eligibility for voluntary (passenger-requested) exchanges.

  2. For eligible tickets, provides alternative flight and fare options with fare guarantees.

  3. For selected options, compares the new and old fares of the itinerary to re-calculate the new fare, including any additional fares, taxes, change fees, or penalty amounts.

  4. Holds or tickets the new itinerary and/or fares.

  5. If applicable, issues the appropriate vouchers or documents for the new tickets.

    • For BSP markets, issues Service (SVC) Segments and EMDs to pay for fare or fee collection.

    • For ARC markets, issues MCOs (Miscellaneous Charge Orders) for any residual values (retain or refund).
