Displaying Car Rate Rules

From the Car Availability display, you can click a rate to view the rate rules for selected car rental.

From this screen, you can sell the car rental using either a Quick Sell or Advanced Sell.

The following table lists the rate rule components and their descriptions.

Rules display header line and sell prompt.

*SUMMARY INFORMATION*

Confirmation of car rental pickup/return date, times, and location. Includes car type description and approximate total.

Added July 2023. Amount due information for prepaid rates was added to summary information.

If prepaid rates are present, the car rules display the prepaid rate information in two new lines of the Summary Information section: Amount Due Now and Amount Due at Counter.

 

*RATE DETAIL*

Day/hour charges, recap of unit rate, breakdown of approximate total amount, drop charge, rate guarantee period, rate code, rate type and category.

Added December 2022. If applicable, corporate discount information is displayed.

Note:  Weekend rates appear as a daily rate. For example, ‘Wkend Daily.’

*TAXES*

All applicable taxes and amounts.

*SURCHARGES*

All applicable mandatory charges.

*COVERAGE*

Types of insurance coverage.
*SPECIAL EQUIPMENT*

Information about charges for types of special equipment.

Rules for special equipment may not be returned for all rental companies.

*ADVANCE BOOKING AND PICKUP/RETURN RULES*

Rules for advance booking and pickup/return.

Summary information on pickup and return location.

For prepaid rates, this section may include cancellation and no show penalties if sent by the supplier.
