Document Production and Ticketing

There are several options for document production and related tasks using Smartpoint. These options may vary by GDS, region, or agency preferences.

Description

Assisted Ticketing

Formerly known as Smartpoint Assisted Ticketing (SAT). A graphical interface to perform ticketing activities for Travelport+ (1G) agencies, including:

  • Changing ticket modifiers and issuing tickets.
  • Displaying a list of all tickets issued in the Booking File. You can also view the status and details for each ticket.
  • Revalidating tickets.
  • Voiding tickets.
  • Fully or partially refunding tickets.
  • Manually building stored fares (Filed Fares).
  • Voluntary changes.
  • Involuntary changes.

Ticketless Airlines

Some airlines choose to settle with travel agencies outside of ARC or BSP reporting. These airlines:

  • Do not issue paper or electronic tickets.
  • Require payment to confirm the PNR/Booking File.
  • Have various options for obtaining payment outside the BSP/ARC.
    Ticketless Payment refers to the process in which the airline credit card payment is sent via an OTHS SSR.
