Using the EMD Manager

The EMD Manager automates the available EMDs by location and airline with intuitive screens. The EMD Manager replaces the information found in the Airline EMD Fact Sheet.

The EMD Manager supports:

• EMD-S (EMD Stand-Alone)
  EMD-S (EMD Stand-Alone) are issued to fulfill non-flight-related services, such as change fees, penalty fees, and lounge access. Segment (SVC). You can use the EMD Manager to automate the available EMDs and reason codes by location and airline.

  EMD-S are based on SVC (Service Segment) SSRs, which are automated in the Create Service Segments screen.

• EMD-A (EMD Associated)
  EMD-A (EMD Associated) are issued to fulfill flight-related Ancillary Services, such as paid seats, meals, pillows, and baggage.

  EMD-A are based on on ASVC (Additional Service) SSRs, which are created when Ancillary Services are booked.

Combined EMD-S and EMD-A

While issuing EMD-S and EMD-A are described separately in this online help, the EMD Manager supports both types of EMDs if they are present in the same itinerary. For example:
