For Qantas, the waiver code is also entered in the Air Modify panel but the search result prices do not reflect the waiver code. Instead, the waiver code is applied at the review and confirm page at this time.

Credit card security code is mandatory for Air France (AF), KLM (KL), and British Airways (BA) in graphical bookings. When the security code is not entered for those airlines that require it, you are prompted to enter it before ticketing.

Review and confirm page displays the offer time limit for NDC offers and the ticket time limit. NDC offers are only available for a certain amount of time. If the booking is not completed (hold or ticket) in that time, the offer is no longer valid and will fail to book.

For NDC searches, when private fares are returned, the type of private fare (agency private or airline private) displays in the fare type row (when a flight option is selected) and the comparison matrix.

You can now book bags for flights with connecting segments. Bags are available for NDC flights, both before booking and after booking, and for GDS flights after booking.

When major schedule changes are made by the airline for NDC flights, agents have the option to accept and reissue tickets or decline, which allows the agent to modify the flights and use a waiver code.

Airlines may offer a price guarantee until a future date for special events, which may be beyond the usual void period (midnight the current day). In these special instances, TST expiry date and payment time limit information is provided. When an agent retrieves the booking and selects Issue ticket, an option for Reprice fare displays if the price has changed between booking and retrieval. When Reprice fare is selected, a popup displays with the new price and the option to accept and issue tickets or accept but not issue tickets

When an unused ticket is used as a secondary form of payment (when the traveler has to pay an additional amount), the confirmation screen shows both forms of payment. An unused ticket cannot be used as form of payment for booking with multiple passengers.

When modifying a booked NDC offer, you can select a fare type modifier and enter private fare codes that may be different than the modifiers in the original booking.

Email can be added to the host booking file using the terminal phone entry of type E*. When a reservation is created via the graphical booking file, at least one email needs to be entered in the Email Address section, even if the email is present on the phone field — otherwise, the reservation cannot be completed. Any information removed from the graphical booking file is also removed from the host booking file.

American Airlines NDC content is available for Apollo and Worldspan customers through their existing host using Smartpoint Desktop or Smartpoint Web NDC plugin. Customers can take advantage of NDC-only content, prices and offers. At this time, the following is supported: multiple PTCs, shop, price, book, ticket, remarks, cancel, and traveler update. For Apollo only, PNR sync and schedule changes are also supported. More functionality will be added in the coming weeks.
All North American Apollo and Worldspan customers have already been provisioned for the plugin and entitled for AA NDC content.

Agents booking American Airlines NDC content can now access seat maps and select and book Free Seats for their single or multi-passenger bookings. The seats link is now present after an NDC booking has been ticketed using Cash or Credit Card as form of payment, where previously Cash was required.

This release includes the following functionality subject to airline support:

Agents booking American Airlines NDC content can now access seat maps and select and book Free Seats for their single or multi-passenger bookings paid with cash.

Agents booking Qantas NDC content can now modify a ticketed booking and place it back on-hold for future ticketing. This allows agents (especially consolidators and sub-agents) booking Qantas NDC content much needed flexibility with their servicing capabilities.

Passenger Type Code (PTC) handling has been enhanced to provide a hover-over tooltip when carriers convert unsupported PTCs during pricing, so agents have additional details when making booking decisions.
Release 2.1: August 24, 2021
Multi-carrier NDC shop is available. This release provides NDC Agents with the ability to compare offers for all applicable NDC carriers within a single, carrier agnostic shop. Prior to this release, NDC search required agents to choose a specific carrier. With this release, if your agency has access to multiple NDC airlines and no airline is selected in the NDC Search panel, results for all applicable NDC airlines are returned.

The carriers available in the display are determined by your Travelport Account Manager as part of the NDC carrier launch process for your country.

Currently, only 100 results are supported. Therefore, some carriers may not be returned in the shop results even if fares are available. For the best result, use targeted searches when possible, such as selecting a desired cabin or selecting an airport rather than a city. Future releases will address this limitation to ensure all relevant results are returned.
Release 1.12: June 26, 2021
This release includes new functionality and fixes for existing known issues. Note: Plugin updates are pushed automatically. No version updates or download required.
Important: While new features are available through the plugin, some features are not supported by individual airlines. Refer to the airline-specific FAQs for support of a feature. Airline-specific FAQs are provided by your Travelport representative and please also refer to the MyTravelport Knowledge Base articles.

The Travelport Smartpoint NDC Web Plugin 1.12 release provides all NDC Agents with the ability to shop, price, book, ticket and service bookings for multiple passengers.

An updated shop form allows agents to add additional travelers and specify which passenger type codes (PTCs) to associate to each traveler.
Please review the Multi-Passenger Servicing section in Known Issues for more detail on any current limitations with regard to this new capability.

(Subject to airline support) Agents will have the ability to apply a waiver code to avoid any penalties or fees when the itinerary has changed due to an involuntary schedule change.

Provides agents visibility via a single PNR when a schedule change occurs so they can react accordingly and inform their customers. Following a schedule change, the passive segment is automatically synced with the NDC Booking File.

(Subject to airline support) Provides credit card fees throughout the booking workflow allows the agent to see an accurate pricing breakdown and communicate exact pricing to customers prior to ticketing

(Subject to airline support) Allows agents to utilize unused tickets that they have stored from a previous cancellation, thus ensuring the funds from an unused ticket can be securely used against a new itinerary.

(Subject to airline support) Post-ticket modify (time, day, class, form of payment) is available through the plugin. To modify an existing NDC segment, retrieve the segment and select Modify Booking.

Instant ticketing is available on the booking screen by selecting the Book and Ticket button.

(Subject to airline support) When canceling an NDC booking, the refund value displays. The refund value may be available in two ways: refund to original form of payment or refund as credit with the airline. If the refund value is different between the two options, the refund value of each displays. Choose which refund option you prefer, select Continue, then confirm the cancellation by selecting Yes, cancel booking.

(Subject to airline support) Refine your air search by selecting a cabin class. You can elect whether the cabin class is preferred, which means other cabin classes may be returned in the results, or if only the selected cabin class should be returned in search results.
