About the GlobalWare Worldspan Interface
The GlobalWare Worldspan interface receives Travel Agency Interface Records (TAIRs) from Worldspan and processes them into the GlobalWare database to create invoicing records. The interface also creates a log showing what was created from each PNR and any errors or warnings (minor errors).
GlobalWare reads TAIR levels 17, 18, 19, and 20. If you are on a different level, contact the GlobalWare help desk to have it changed.
The information transmitted from Worldspan to GlobalWare through the interface is used for accounting and other travel management operations.
Before you begin using the interface, set up the Worldspan interface parameters in GlobalWare. After that, you can activate the Worldspan interface to process TAIRs, which usually is done daily, depending on the number of TAIRs.
Most information comes from standard PNR entries. Other information must be entered by in invoice remarks or in nonair segment optional fields and GlobalWare formats. Agents should review the sections in this help file on Transferring PNR Data to GlobalWare and Non-Air Segments. They should also review the procedures for handling exchanges and service fees.
