Search Control Console (SCC)
Your agency may use Travelport’s Search Control Console (SSC) to create business rules to refine search results. The Search Control Console enables agencies to customize air shopping search responses according to individual traveler or group needs.
Search Levels
The Search Control Console uses one of two levels to identify which rules to apply to a traveler or itinerary:
- PCC
Pseudo City Code, which contains three or four alphabetical or numeric characters. - Channel ID
Channel IDs apply rules at a more customized level within a PCC. These IDs can be assigned to individual travelers, teams, divisions, corporations, or other groups within a PCC that are defined by your agency. For example:
- Within a corporation that uses one PCC, each department can be assigned a different Channel ID that identifies specific travel rules for that department.
- Channel IDs can be assigned with unique sets of rules for individual travelers at the same corporation.
Applying Channel IDs
A Channel ID identifies the specific set of rules that apply to a request. Channel IDs:
- Are one to four alphabetical or numeric characters.
Error MessagesIf more than one Channel ID is entered in a request, the following error messages are returned:

Requesting Channel IDs
Depending on the type of transaction, Channel IDs provided by your agency can be added to search, pricing, and shopping requests using either terminal or fill-in formats.
Any follow-on entries that are applied after the search continue to support the Channel ID modifier. Note that Travelport+ (1G) requires a slightly different format for follow-on entries.
