Air Discount and Increase Modifiers

There are several methods for adding discount and increase modifiers to fares during the pricing/fare quote or fare shopping processes.

These modifiers can be:

Added as either flat amounts or percentages.
Applied to either base fares or total fares.

Tip! As of the release of Smartpoint 9.0, these modifiers are also available in an end-to-end process for branded fares so that discounts and increases are represented consistently through the pricing/fare quote and fare shopping processes.

Adding Modifiers for Fare Shopping

You can specify discount and increase modifiers for fare shopping using:

The Flight Shopping tab in Smartpanel for fare shopping modifiers.
Click Shopping Modifiers icon, then go to the Discount Modifiers section.
Terminal formats in Travelport+ (1G) or Apollo (1V).

Applied to the base fare for each passenger in the itinerary.
