Change Posting Date
The system posting date provides dates for the following:
- Date ranges for general ledger Financial Statements and the Bank Reconciliation function. See Financial Statements and Bank Reconciliation.
- Default posting date for adding expense payables. See Adding Expense Payables.
- Post date for the Void on Business Date option on the Void/Delete Checks version of the Print Checks or Record Checks screen. See Voiding or Deleting Checks.
Notes:
- On the Void/Delete checks version of the Print Checks or Record Checks screen, the Delete Check option is available only if the system posting date and the check date are in the same period. You can use the CHANGE POST DATE button on that screen to change the posting date. For details, see Void or Delete Checks.
- You can also change the system posting date by using the Posting Date field on the System Control screen's System tab. For more information, see System Tab.
