The following restrictions apply to hierarchy level deletions:

Only one hierarchy level can be deleted in a single request.

A hierarchy level deletion is only permitted if no profiles are associated to the level. If a user attempts to delete a hierarchy level with which profiles are associated, the hierarchy level is not deleted and a list of the associated profiles is returned.

The API does not permit deleting anchor point levels (i.e., Agency, Branch, Agent in agency hierarchy, or Account, Traveler in account hierarchy).
If a level is deleted, then the system automatically adjusts the level numbers of remaining hierarchy levels.
If a level is deleted, then the system automatically adjusts the parent associations of remaining hierarchy levels.
Separate security resources will govern the ability to delete levels in the agency hierarchy versus the account hierarchy. That is, one resource to delete levels in the agency hierarchy and another resource to delete levels in the account hierarchy.
