HotelProperty @ParticipationLevel
Participation Levels are used in the Hotel Shopping and Booking process to indicate the relationship between the provider and the supplier.
Note that HotelProperty @ParticipationLevel indicates the default level of participation for a hotel suppler. HotelType @SourceLink indicates the source of data for a specific transaction.

Participation levels cannot be requested as a Hotel Search modifier for the initial property search.
For a selected hotel property, HotelProperty @ParticipationLevel can be included in subsequent request as part of the hotel property data.

Best Available Rate. Returns the lowest available rates from the supplier. These rates are guaranteed to be equivalent to rates offered directly from the supplier or through another non-GDS data source. BAR rates apply applies to non-restricted, non-fenced rates. |

Lowest Public Rate. Formerly known as Enhanced Best Available Rate. Includes a higher level of participation for the Best Available Rate (BAR) program. With this enhancement, chain participants (suppliers) agree to provide access to their Lowest Public Rates, which include both restricted and unrestricted rates. |

Errors and Warnings
The error R211 UNSUCCESSFUL LINK SELL- MSG FROM LINK VENDOR INVALID - CHECK NUMBER OF ADULTS * is returned by a hotel when a property won't accept children.

The ParticipationLevel tag is returned in HotelDetails and HotelSearchAvailability, and indicates whether the property accepts children.

ParticipationLevel="1" or ParticipationLevel="2" indicates children are not accepted by the vendor.

ParticipationLevel="3" or ParticipationLevel="4" indicates children are accepted by the vendor.
