Hotel Search by Rating
A Hotel Search request can be modified to include a hotel rating.
Request
In addition to the minimum requirements for a basic Hotel Search, rating information can be included by adding program information hotel chain and loyalty card information in the /HotelSearchModifiers/HotelRating.
The RatingProvider attribute must be used to specify the rating provider. Note that not all providers access the same rating providers. Therefore, the RatingProvider should correspond to the appropriate provider. See Exceptions for supported ratings providers.
Either Rating of a single digit, 1 to 5, or RatingRange can be used to specify the rating value or range of values, respectively. If a range is requested, Ranges can be supported using the RatingRange children, MinimumRating and MaximumRating.
Response
The response returns standard Hotel Search data. However, only responses for properties owned by the specified hotel chains are returned. The room rates returned in the response are based the Loyalty Program rates provided by the requested chain.

Exceptions
The following two rating providers are supported:
- AAA = AAA Diamond Rating
- NTM = Northstar Crown Rating
Note: NTM is supported only for agencies that are provisioned for Hotel Content Plus (HCP). Please contact your Travelport representative for more information.
If both NTM and AAA rating are provided, both are sent in the request, but the NTM rating has a lower priority than the AAA rating.
Rating information is returned based on whether data for that property is added to the internal Galileo and Apollo databases.
Both AAA and NTM ratings are supported as billable items for Worldspan. Because billable access is regulated, Pseudo City Codes (PCCs) must be configured by Travelport to ensure rating information is returned from Worldspan in the Hotel Search response. PCCs are the Universal API equivalent to Worldspan SIDs.
