Rich Content and Branding in Exchanges
Branded fare information is returned automatically in the Air Exchange Quote and Booking Air Exchange Quote responses for those carriers that file this information.
Important: Branded Fares in Exchanges are currently available for only Galileo (1G) and Apollo (1V) in Belgium, Netherlands, and United Kingdom.

Request

Send an Air Exchange Quote request (AirExchangeQuoteReq or BookingAirExchangeQuoteReq).
An Air Exchange Quote request can be sent with a pricing modifier (RepricingModifiers @BrandDetails="true") that requests full brand details for the brand, including the optional services associated to the brand. If the pricing modifier is not sent, basic details of the brand are returned.

If no RepricingModifiers @BrandDetails is sent:
- One solution is returned.
- A brand is returned when available.
- Brand Name and Brand ID are returned.

To specify full brand details set RepricingModifiers @BrandDetails="true".
- One solution is returned.
- A brand is returned when available.
- Rich Content for the brand is returned.
- Optional Services associated to the brand are returned.
Response
The Exchange Quote response is returned (AirExchangeQuoteRsp or BookingAirExchangeQuoteRsp). AirPricingSolution/AirPricingInfo/FareInfo/Brand is returned if the airline files Rich Content and Branding information. The Brand element contains the following branding information when applicable: @Name, @BrandID, and @Carrier.
Optional Services
Brand/OptionalServices contains the optional services that are part of the fare brand. Brand/OptionalServices/OptionalService @Chargeable indicates if the optional service is "Available for a charge", "Included in the brand", or "Not offered".
- If the optional service is "Included in the brand", then it is free.
- If the optional service is "Available for a charge" and if the airline has filed that ancillary content, the optional service is available for purchase and is located in AirPriceResult/AirPricingSolutions/OptionalServices.
- If the optional service is "Not offered", then it cannot be purchased.
Optional Services in a Brand
Optional services for a brand are returned in AirPricingSolution/AirPricingInfo/FareInfo/Brand/OptionalServices. The optional services returned in Brand/OptionalServices are for informational purposes only.
Note: Universal API currently does not support purchasing an optional service while exchanging a ticket.
Basic Details
A request for basic details returns only basic information about the Brand, such as:
- Brand ID
- Name
- Brand Tier
