After successfully installing and configuring the Client Adapter, client database, and ODBC connection, you can start the Client Adapter.
Note: The Travelport Booking Feed Adapter Console is not available if Travelport Booking Feed is installed as a service. However, the console data is available through the wrapper.log files.
If running Travelport Booking Feed as a Windows service, the service opens with the Windows startup, if chosen. Confirmation of a successful startup, connection to Travelport Booking Feed server, and queue connection, as well as other positive acknowledgments can be viewed in wrapper.log.
To start the Travelport Booking Feed Adapter:
Open the Travelport Booking Feed Adapter from the Travelport Booking Feed 10.1 Configuration shortcut or from the Windows Start menu in All Programs > Travelport > Travelport Booking Feed 10.1.
If the Travelport Booking Feed Adapter starts successfully, a message similar to the following is displayed:
The Waiting for message… line is present until a message is placed on the Travelport Booking
Feed queue. After a message is received, a transaction number is assigned to the message and
displays on the screen. For example, the first three messages will be displayed:
ID=1
ID=2
ID=3
These messages correspond to the TransactionOrderIdentifier field in the database.
