Interactive Booking File

Smartpoint Cloud will continue to add new functionality to the Interactive Booking File in each release. Currently, the booking file terminal view has interactive features and can be updated using cryptic entries. Some booking file data can be modified in graphical view.

Tip: The Travelport+ format online help contains cryptic entries, a printable mini guide, and conversions between Travelport+ and other GDS entries for common requests.

Terminal view

You can retrieve a booking file by searching by the traveler's last name. Entry: *-NAME

Booking file information is grouped into sections:

  • Traveler information

  • Fares, ticketing, and payments

  • Remarks, OSI, and SSR

  • Additional information

Each heading shows expandable relevant data that has been added to the booking file. Select a section name to display all data in that section. Or, select an individual item to display information for that field. In the example below, the *EM field is highlighted, indicating that the email field is expanded.

For blue text, hover over it to display tool tip information and click to show expanded information. In the example below, the flight number is highlighted, which displays flight information.

When an interactive link does not yet have the function available, the following message displays: This feature is under development.

To display custom check rules, click *RU for a list of rules, then select the green link to display rule details.

Follow-on fare rules (FQN)

The follow-on fare rules entry (FQN) is interactive so that agents can view related fare rules and fare component details.

  1. Display a booking file.

  2. Request a fare quote (FQ) for an existing booking file.

  3. Enter FQN to display interactive areas for fare rules summary, penalty information, and fare rules.

    • Select the link under the FARE column to display the fare rules summary.

    • Select the link under the COMPONENT column to display penalty information.

    • Select the link under the BASIS column to display fare rules.

Filed fares

Filed fares are interactive. Select the fare type, fare status, or filed fare to show related details.

For example, selecting the filed fare FQ1 displays the related fare details. You can also select FO1 to show the details of additional fees.

Booking File Viewer

The Booking File Viewer provides an automatically updating view of the booking file so that you do not have to redisplay the PNR after each change. It is similar to the PNR Viewer in Smartpoint Desktop.

Important:

  • Use of multiple GTIDs in different terminal windows is not supported.

  • Only one Booking File Viewer can be opened at once.

To access the Booking File Viewer,

  1. Ensure that a booking file is active. In the example below, booking file 61MBP5 displays in the upper left corner.

  2. Select the options () icon in any terminal window.

  3. Select Set as Booking File Viewer.

  4. The current booking file displays. As changes to the booking file are made in other terminal windows, the Booking File Viewer is automatically updated with the changes to the booking file.

Graphical view

If the Toggle view () icon is active in the terminal window header, you can open the booking file in the graphical view.

Click on the Booked Travel section to open a detailed view of the travel segments.
