Reviewing EMD History and Details
EMDH
With the EMD Manager, you can:
- Review any EMDs that have been issued for this PNR. EMDs that were created using both cryptic commands and the EMD manager are available in the EMD Review.
- Void or refund an EMD, if supported by the airline.
Reviewing EMDs
Click the Review tab of the EMD Manager to view issued EMDs for a PNR.
The current status of each EMD is indicated.
Click Details for an EMD to view the full history and information for that EMD in the EMD Details screen.
Note that only the last EMD issued for an SVC segment displays carrier and city information. The SVC segment contains the EMD number for the last EMD issued for that segment, and Smartpoint uses that number to determine the carrier and city.
Voiding and Refunding EMDs
You can void or refund EMDs if these functions are supported by the airline.
To void or refund EMDs:
Click VOID or REFUND to send a message to the airline to validate the void or refund request.
The VOID and REFUND buttons display at the bottom of the EMD Details screen for each EMD in the Review tab. However, some airlines do not support void and/or refund functionality for all EMDs or for a specific EMD. Therefore, you must click the VOID or REFUND button to validate if your request is supported:
- If the void or refund request is supported by the airline, a warning message is returned:
- Are you sure you want to void this EMD?
- Are you sure you want to attempt to refund this EMD. A refund cannot be canceled.
Click Yes to confirm the void or refund. After you void or refund the EMD, the VOID or REFUND button becomes disabled on the EMD Details screen.
- If the void or refund request is not supported for an airline, an error message is returned. For example: This EMD is non-refundable.
