Displaying Seat Maps with the Seat Map Script

The Seat Map Script allows you to search for seat maps from either:

  • Your selected or booked segment.
  • Other flights in the same Air Availability or Fare Shopping display.
  • Flight details from other flights.

The Seat Map Script also allows you to:

  • View a list of carriers that support seat maps in Smartpoint Worldspan.
  • Add itinerary and invoice remarks.
To use the Seat Map script:
  1. To display the Seat Map script, you can either:
  • Enter 41* in the entry field in the Smart Screen.

  • Click the Seat Map link in the Top 10 Go! Scripts in the Smart Panel.
  • Click the Seat Map link or enter #SEAT link in the Quick Key shortcuts in the Smart Screen.

The Seat Maps Script is displayed in the Smart Panel.

  1. Optional. Click the carrier list link to display a list of carriers that support seat maps in Smartpoint Worldspan.

  1. In Seat map for, select a seat map option.
  • Click Segment to view a seat map for the currently selected or booked segment.

  • Click Availability Line to view a seat map for another segment in the current Air Availability or Fare Shopping display.

  • Click Flight Details to view a seat map for a known segment that is not currently selected or displayed.

  1. Click CONTINUE to display the seat map.
  2. View or assign seats. See Assigning Seats from the Seat Map.htm for more information about assigning free and paid seats.

Tip! Depending on the carrier, flight, booking status, and presence of free and paid seats, a seat map:

  • May be available to view only. Some carriers require the PNR to be end transacted to assign paid seats.
  • May not be available for a specific carrier or flight segment.

In this example, seat maps are not available for this flight segment.

In this example, seat maps are not available for the Philippine Airlines (PR) carrier.

  • May be not be available as a graphical seat map.

  1. Optional. After you assign seats, click add remarks add itinerary and invoice remarks to the PNR.

When you click add remarks, the Add Itinerary & Invoice Remarks script is displayed.

Note: Be sure to remarks after the seat is assigned. If you click the add remarks link before you assign the seat, the seat map closes to display the Add Itinerary & Invoice Remarks script.
