linking to Smartpoint Cloud

Please Note: This topic applies ONLY to agencies that are provisioned for BOTH Smartpoint Desktop and Smartpoint Cloud.

 

December 4, 2023. Please note that the Smartpoint Cloud button has been temporarily removed for all versions of Smartpoint Desktop.

Agents that are provisioned for both Smartpoint Desktop and Smartpoint Cloud can access Smartpoint Cloud while signed on to a session in Smartpoint Desktop.

In the Smartpoint 11.2.1 Service Release, a button was added to launch Smartpoint Cloud from Smartpoint Desktop. This button is displayed on the Application Window bar and varies based on screen resolution:

  • Higher screen resolutions

  • Lower screen resolutions


This button displays only for:

  • Agents who are provisioned for both Smartpoint Cloud and Smartpoint Desktop on Travelport+ (1G).

  • Smartpoint 11.1 and later.

    • A future update will add the button for Smartpoint 10.0 and 11.0 versions.

    • Because the button is displayed via a plugin, re-installation of Smartpoint Desktop is not required.

Currently, this button can be used to launch Smartpoint Cloud in addition to access from the Smartpoint Cloud URL or the MyTravelport Products menu. However, in a future update, the button will be required to open Smartpoint Cloud if an agent already has an active session in Smartpoint Desktop.
