Select Color Dialog Box
Accessed through the Control Properties menu, the color picker allows you to select FontColor and BackgroundColor.
Once a background color is chosen for a control type, that choice is:
- Retained for the next time that control type is used in the current dialog box, or
- Until the color is changed again.
For example, if the default color of the LTEXT type is changed, the next time that type is selected, the same colors will be used. These choices are retained only until the next dialog box is opened.

Color selection standards
You are encouraged to establish color standards for your dialog boxes. Consistency in the colors you use for your dialog boxes is helpful to your script users. When selecting your colors, please consider the following:
-
For a static text control, choose the same color background as that used for the dialog box so that text justification is not noticeable to the script user.
-
When selecting control colors, background and foreground colors should not be the same. Text is not visible if the two colors are the same.
-
Do not use light gray as the foreground color for a control. In windows, the default color for unavailable functions is light gray. Therefore, if a condition in the script causes a function to be unavailable, the text in that control would not be visible.
-
Use colors that are soothing to the eye. For instance, combining more than three colors in one dialog box is distracting.
