Modifying Hotel Bookings

You can modify an existing hotel booking to change the:

  • Check-in and check-out dates.
  • Number of rooms.
  • Number of adult guests.

The type of modification to the PNR varies, depending of the level of participation for the hotel chain/property:

  • True modifications change any field in a hotel segment without assigning a new confirmation number. These changes are supported for Hotel Source and AccessPlus hotels that participate in Session Control (HC-SESSION).
  • Cancel and rebook modifications are made for changes to non-AccessPlus hotel bookings. The original booking is canceled and a new booking is created. A cancel and rebook message is sent to the agency and a new confirmation number is assigned.
To modify a hotel booking:
  1. From the RESERVATIONS menu, select Create/Modify PNR.

The Create/Modify PNR screen displays in the Smart Panel.

  1. Click Hotel to display the Add/Modify/Cancel Hotel screen.

  1. In the Modify or Cancel Hotel section, click the Edit icon next to the hotel reservation that you want to change.
  2. Click Continue to display the Modify Hotel screen.

  1. Make changes to one or more of the following Hotel Sell options:
  • In Check In Date and Check Out Date, change either or both of the dates for the hotel stay.
  • In Guests, change the number of adult guests.
  • In Rooms, change the number of hotel rooms.
  • In Payment, change the payment type and payment method, and complete corresponding payment details. Payment details change depending on your selected payment method.
  1. Optional. Click More Options to display optional search modifiers.

  1. After all entries are completed, click Continue. The Smart Panel displays a confirmation message.
