Grant External Access

Available to: Airline Managers, Travel Agent Managers, Developer Administrators, Distributor Administrator

The user roles above can grant access to their organization's view of MyTravelport to users outside of their organization. This access allows these external users to create and edit cases under the organization's CIDB.

  1. Select the Administration menu then Manage users.

  2. Select the Add user button.

  3. Select Add external user tab.

  4. Enter the external user's email address and select Find user. The user must already have a MyTravelport account.

  5. The user information displays. Select the CIDB to which the user is being granted access.

  6. Select the user type. Typically, User (local) is selected, which allows the user to create cases for the specified CIDB only; the user cannot create cases against any other CIDB that may be attached to the MCN. If Admin (local) is selected, the user is granted administrator rights for the specified CIDB.

  7. Select the user's incident (case) view. Typically, My incidents (local) is selected, which allows the user to view and edit cases that the user has created. If My agency's incidents (local) is selected, the user can view and edit cases that were created by other users who are part of the specified CIDB.

  8. Select Add external user.

Once added to your organization, your organization’s CIDB will be available when the user creates a case. Cases are viewable and editable by both parties.
