Automation Requests

An automation request enables an airline to check its (non-fares) table settings for things like credit card (which cards the airline accepts), commission, and GSA table updates. These are usually scheduled for future dates in the Travelport automation tool. However, an airline can also view the current status of its settings in these tables. Requests to check fares tables are not automated and must be requested by choosing Get Help and choosing the Fares and Pricing option.

View My Automation requests (Airline Automation Agent only)

As an Airline Automation Agent, you can view Automation requests.

  1. From the Help and resources menu, select Automation requests.

  2. A list of automation requests displays with the following information:

    • Status – Either Open or Closed
    • Reference – The unique number assigned to an automation request when it is created.
    • Category – The type of automation request
    • Airline – The user’s airline code
    • Created – The date and time the automation request was created.
    • Created By – The user name who created the automation request.
  3. To search for an automation request,

    • Enter a reference number, creator, or search term.

    • Click Advanced Search to search by the created or scheduled date range.

  4. To open a specific automation request, click any text on the row or the View icon. The Airline Automation request opens, where you can view the details of the request.

  5. For a master automation request, the top of the page provides a summary of child requests and their status. Below the summary, a list of child requests displays. Click Response to view the host response for a child request.

  6. Click Back to return to the list of automation requests.

Create an automation request

  1. From the Home page, scroll down to the Help and resources section and select Make automation request. You can also select Automation request from the Help and resources menu, then select Add automation request.

  2. Select a Category.

    Available categories include:

    • Commission – This table enables an airline to set the commission in a specific POS.
      The commission is based on percentages for either international or domestic travel or both international and domestic travel.

    • General Sales Agent (Apollo/Galileo) – A General Sales Agent (GSA) is a carrier that acts on behalf of another carrier in agreed territories. The GSA table enables an airline to have an agreement with another airline to act as its representative in a specific POS.

    • Commission Exceptions (1G) – An Exception/Exclusion indicator will be added to the commission table for use when travel is wholly within the United States or Canada. This allows any country or any carrier to participate in zero commission for travel with a Point of Origin (POO) of US or CA to any international city.

    • Credit Card – This table contains all of the credit cards, giving airlines the ability to add or restrict credit card(s) per POS.

    • Sponsoring Carrier Table (Worldspan) – The Sponsoring Carrier table enables an airline to include or exclude other airlines in its Sponsoring Carrier table. This table works in conjunction with the Interline eTicket table updates sent to eActivations.

  3. Complete the form.

  4. Select Add Item.
