Distributors

Important: Distributor and their customers should not self-register. Instead, all distributor user roles must be provisioned either by Travelport or by an administrator.

Distributors use MyTravelport to access knowledge articles and create cases.

There are five user roles associated with distributors. Users who work directly for a distributor should be assigned a role of:

  • Distributor administrator – This user can create cases, add or modify other users, and grant access to users outside his/her organization.

  • Distributor employee – This user can create cases; view alerts and shortcuts and manage some personal profile settings.

Distributors can give their API customer developers access to MyTravelport so that the developers can create cases. The two user types associated with developer customers working with a distributor are:

  • Distributor customer developer administrator – This user is a distributor's customer that can create only API cases. This user can add developer users.

  • Distributor customer developer user - This user is a distributor's customer that can create only API cases. This user also has access to the knowledge base and profile settings. These users should be provisioned by a distributor or a distributor customer developer administrator.

Distributors can give users view-only access to MyTravelport by assigning the user role of Distributor user.

  • Distributor user – This user role cannot create a case. This user role can view alerts and shortcuts, as well as manage some personal profile settings.

Sharing case access

Distributor administrators can enable another MyTravelport user in another organization to act on their behalf. Using the Grant external access function, you can share access to your organization's cases with another party. You can also have another party create cases for your organization, while maintaining the ability to view and edit the case.

If your user role has the ability to create cases, you have the option of creating a case for another party by entering a PCC/SID agency identifier in the Override PCC field in the form. Using the Override PCC field does not provide the PCC/SID access to the case.
