Overview of Closing Out Groups and Parties
GlobalWare enables you to purge groups and delete parties from retail groups.
Generally, you purge a group with all its parties because all passengers and transactions in the group are involved with the same travel itinerary and services. To purge a group, see Closing Out Groups, and then Purging Data.
Note: You should wait at least a month or two before purging a group to make sure that you have recorded all transactions because transactions might occur after the group has traveled. For example, you might receive a check from an operator for funds not used, or you might need to refund a customer.
For retail groups, you might need to delete parties (for example, if you have retail groups set up for each of your agents and the parties are independent of most or all other parties). To delete a party, see Deleting Parties.
